AMPEG V-4B, SVT-112AV & SVT-212AV

AMPEG V-4B, SVT-112AV & SVT-212AV
Ampeg’s V-4B is a 100-watt all-tube bass amp based on the classic ’70s-era V-4. The V-4B keeps things simple with a 3-band EQ—including a midrange frequency toggle and switches for Ultra-Hi and Ultra-Lo boosts.

A pair of 12AX7s in the preamp, a driver with a 12AX7 and a 12AU7, and four JJ 6L6GC power tubes help give the V-4B its oldschool flavor. A balanced XLR output and separate 2Ω, 4Ω, and 8Ω outputs for various cabinet combinations lie in back. The V-4B weighs in at only 41 pounds. Players looking for matching Ampeg cabs are in luck: The company’s new 45-pound SVT-112AV (300 watts, 8Ω) 1x12 and 66-pound SVT-212AV (600 watts, 4Ω) 2x" compression drivers with a 3-way level controls.
